Natural Beauty sheep skin rug
Protect this Natural sheepskin from direct or harsh sunlight and you will increase lifespan and reduce fading.
All our sheepskins are perfect for a bedroom, on a chair or on the floor. Or drape this sheepskin over a footrest or chair for a textural accent.
Although these rugs are predominantly seen as a luxurious floor covering, they can also be used as a lounge throw, on beds, or draped over any type of chair. They are particularly good in armchairs, as kids snuggle or reading a rug or across the seat of a sofa in the winter.
Your sheepskin is carefully selected and may be tightly packaged for shipping, so the wool may appear flattened. Wool fibres are very resilient. A quick shake and they will bounce back to their original springy appearance.
A vigorous shake will help restore the soft, fluffy appearance of the wool. Fold marks from packaging will vanish once the skin has been removed from the bag for a few days.
For full sheepskin, washing instructions see our washing page
Washing Your Huge Lambskin
Machine or hand wash your Natural longwool sheepskin rug in warm water up to (30°C/100°F) using the Woolskin WoolWash. Spin to remove excess water. Then Stretch to help return it to its original shape.
Drying
Dry your Ivory Longwool Lambskin flat or on a line. Keep away from any direct sunlight and artificial heat. Take care not to place a Sheepskin on a heater or in front of a fan heater as this may cause damage to the Longwool Sheepskin. Never iron or bleach an Ivory Lambskin.
Brushing a Lambskin
Your Ivory Longwool Lambskin is a Natural Product, so after washing, the wool will revert back to its natural curly state. You can restore the fluffy appearance by brushing the wool while it is wet and again when it is dry using a dog grooming brush.
